SHIRLEY MORLEY Obituary

MORLEY
DR. SHIRLEY ANN, age 91, of Wallingford, died peacefully on July 6, 2015. Born in Rochester NY, she completed a nursing degree at Yale University before graduating from medical school at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She met her beloved husband of 55 years, Dr. Robert Morley, while she was a resident in Obstetrics at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Shirley and Robert were blessed with 2 wonderful daughters, Robin and Wynne, whose upbringing became her primary focus.
Shirley's life was grounded in the Christian principles of trusting in the Lord, following His wishes and caring for others. Her longstanding passion for mission work led her to found and manage the philanthropic fund, Missions Unlimited. For decades, she worked tirelessly to raise support for her favorite mission projects in India, run by Drs. David and Sunisha Henry.
Shirley is survived by her husband Robert; their daughter Robin Bernstein (Jack) and their daughter Dr. Wynne Dueck (Arthur). She also considered David and Sunisha Henry and their children Daniel and Dennis as family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Great Valley Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 10 A.M.

Bob, so sorry to hear of your loss of Shirley (while I was on tour in Ireland). I fondly remember her as a "shepherd" leading me to the fullness of Christ, our Lord. May He give you the love and comfort
you deserve and may expect. Blessings,

Shirley was one of the finest woman I have ever met. She was a missionary to others and devoted much of her life to improving the welfare and health of persons in other countries. Her love for her extended family was profound and she tried to preserve her family contacts by networking with family members. From the moment I married into her family 40 years ago, her love, faith and wisdom was shared. She will be sorely missed!
