Dear Vince: Thank you for your lovely sentiment and so nice to receive this message after 6 months. It warmed my heart. This weekend I planted a memory garden for Pop at his home in Avalon ----all I need to do is add basil to the flower scape.

I worked for Babe's brother Leonard, almost 30 years ago. Long after "Len's Place" gone, I was able to take my wife to the Town House and see some familiar faces and enjoy the food.

I wish the D'Ignazio family that remains long life and health, and happiness.

What I'll always remember was that these two men were simply "good people". Tonight I'll raise a toast in their memory.

My respectful and sincere condolences to the family of Babe D'Ignazio. I will always remember those days of feeling truly honored and privileged to be so welcomed by Mr. D'Ignazio to share his time and spirit and warmth by his fireplace.

I am so sorry to hear about your father. I knew him well and he was generous and kind. When I first opened my restaurant the former campo de fiori now renamed Casa Mia Italian Bar & grill. He would come in on a bi weekly basis to eat and chat with us all. He was good to so many people. He gave me some very good advice when I was very young and I will never forget him. We will have a toast and say a prayer for him at the restaurant. God Bless you and your family! Your father will never be forgotten.

Hello, everyone. I am Fred D'Ignazio, Babe's oldest son. Thank you for your kind thoughts and memories about my Dad. He was not always easy to live with, but he was the most outrageous, flirtatious, intelligent and generous person I've ever met. I'm lucky to have known him 59 years. He is probably in Heaven now charming the pants off St. Peter and cooking up some kind of heavenly real estate scheme... Lots of love to all!

To the family,
I am very sorry to hear of Mr D'Ignazio's passing. We all grew up together in Moylan and had some "spirited" times in the neighborhood to say the least. Your father was a great man. I was particularly fond of the "Spook House" in the basement on Halloween. Again, my family sends their sympathy.

My family moved to Media in 1964 and remained there until 1984. The Towne House was one of our favorite places to visit. I want to send my thoughts and prayers to the entire family- some I knew well and some I have met over the years-in the hope that Babe is at peace and the family will cherish all the memories that he has provided.
It goes without saying that if you lived in Media, you knew of "Babe" D'Ignazio.

Pop - a man who lived life w/gusto - albeit an old fashioned phrase but approps. He always went for the brass ring and if it came up tin - no matter, he'd figure something out. We planted a Sycamore tree on the farm for his 90th birthday....may it grow with as much substance, energy and breadth of life as he showed us......a pillar of his many communities and a pillar of the family, connecting us from one generation to another. I honor his life his legacy, his memorabilia, his mottos to live by. I end this message with our traditional family toast....Here's to you Pop ---click, click no salt. Babe, the pillar is finally at rest.
