STEPHEN LEON Obituary
STEPHEN PERRY, 69, of Gorham ME, formerly of Philadelphia, died on Feb. 13, 2012. Father of Max Leon (Rachel R.) Sandra Judd and Erin Leon. Grandfather of Alexander, Aidan, Jack, Della and Ryder. Brother of Sonia Gilbert and Ruth Weiman. Stephen was the son of the late Max M. Leon, Pres. and owner of WDAS Broadcasting Co. and Minnie Leon. He was the host of a radio show, in the 1960's called "My Father's Son" and won numerous trophies racing his 1957 Chevy Bel Aire, which was the fastest car in its class in New Jersey. Stephen also was the Pres. of station KNTO in Wichita Falls TX.
Graveside Services will be held at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Feasterville PA on Friday, Feb. 17, at 12 Noon.

Long before I worked at WDAS-FM, I met Steve in Atlantic City and he, Jay Mark and I became good friends. Steve and I then drove his brand new Corvette to California where he was going to school. As we drove across the country, people would wave at us...it was the height of the TV Show "Route 66",,,,,they thought we were the guys! Mr Leon (Max) told me, "I'm sending you to California to watch out for my son." I have many good memories of Steve, and I'm saddened by his passing.
