Although I met Steve through business, his family and mine shared a special time in Lake Placid together. We always appreciated his hospitality and good nature to make it a memorable trip including boating and dinner along the lake. Our familys thoughts and prayers are with his family on this anniversary.

Yes s great businessman a very smart man. Most important - Steve was an amazing humble person. A very caring and giving person - Steve was a true Mentch. When a person leaves this world all he takes is his name- Steve had a fantAstic name. The most honorable person that I know.
Steve we will miss you very much.
The one regret I have is / not being able to say thank you for everything you gave me, taught me, and for being a great friend.

Steve and I went to high school and more or less grew up together during our youth and young adulthood. I was truly saddened when I recently heard the news. Through the years we remained in touch off and on. He was a wonderful guy in every respect. A true mensch, and my sympathies to the immediate and extended Berger family, his wife and sons, and all of his many friends and professional colleagues, particularly Jon Goodman. Sam Mamet

I had the pleasure of working with Steve on the board of Mt Sinai Cemetery for a number of years, and found his whit and his mind to be more than just engaging. He was far more astute than he seemed at first, as he was zeroing in for what was important to him.

Steven was a respected, admired and loved man. His passion for his work was undeniable. I worked for him for 20 years and can honestly say that his drive, work ethic and compassion for PRG was the perfect example to all his employees and admired by all. He exemplified the same passion for his family, so proud of Laurie and the boys and mentioned them often. He will be greatly missed. Bobbie
