I had heard about Steven's passing late last year but wasn't sure if it was true. I attempted calling on a number of occasions as well as emailing him with no answer or response. After my own mother died on Memorial Day of this year, I was alerted to this service and checked to see if the rumor of his passing was indeed true. I'm sorry to see that it is.

I used to visit with Steve about every 3 months or so between 2001 and 2004. We both shared a love for film music and we'd discuss it at length when we'd go to lunch during my visits. We did a lot of trading since both of us had a lot that the other didn't. I knew he had a number of health problems, but didn't realize how serious those problems were. It saddens me to know that this friendly, generous man is no longer with us.

I'd like to offer my belated condolences to his family and friends and just want to let them know that he will certainly be missed by both me and many fans of film music.
