One of the best teachers ever!

Thomas Forkin taught me algebra in 1962 at North Catholic HS. He was the most energetic, interesting, and best teacher I had while attending North. There are thousands of students who benefitted from his teaching. He will be missed.

Mr. Forkin was one of the most special people that I have ever met. He was a funny man, an extremely intelligent man, and a religious man. He taught me Algebra in my freshman year of High school in 2001, and we became close friends. He taught me many things about life that I will carry with me forever. His stories were also unforgettable. Mr. Forkin showed me how to be a good Catholic and how to have a strong belief in the Holy Spirit. He was a great person and I will miss him very much.

I am sure that he is in heaven right now with Jesus

I met Mr. Forkin when I worked as a young 22 year old election officer for the PA Labor Relations Board in 1972 and he served as Counsel to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Although I was green as could be, Mr. Forkin treated me in such a professional, almost deferential manner that it made me feel as if I had been on the job for 10 years, instead of 10 months. He was easy to laugh, and I know from his family, easy to love. God Bless him and keep him.
