THOMAS RICE Obituary
Tom graduated from McDonough Military School in Owings Mills, MD and was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1945. Tom retired from PPG Industries and went on to work for Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Bette graduated from West Chester University, and taught in the Philadelphia School district. Bette's sister, Catharine McFadden Lowery Jackson, and 2 brothers, John McFadden and Wayne McFadden, preceded Bette in death.
Bette and Tom are survived by their children, Tom's son and Bette's stepson, Thomas Rice II of Leonard MD, 2 daughters, Sallie Rice of Spring Hill, FL and Barbara Rice of Ambler, PA, 2 sons, Robert Rice of Jacksonville, FL, and Wayne Rice of Jupiter Springs, FL, 2 daughters-in-law, Margaret Rice and Jill Rice, Tom's 2 grandchildren, Mary Rice Salamon and Thomas Rice III and Tom and Bette's 3 grandchildren, Dr. Tabitha Cooney, Sean Rice, and Jackalyn Rice, Bette's brother and sister-in-law, David and Martha McFadden of Phila., Tom's sister-in-law, Ruth Rice of St. Simons, GA and seven beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial Friday, August 29th 11:30 A.M., Lawn-view Cemetery, Torresdale section, 500 Huntington Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Memorial donations may be made in Thomas and Elizabeth's names to The Community Hospice Foundation For Caring, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
