Carol & Family -

Janice and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Tom. Unlike others, we didn't know that he had been ill. We will always think fondly of our time together during the summers of Project 2061. We wish you and your family solace, health and long lives.

Tommy grew up in my old neighborhood in Memphis (Cooper/Young area). He was younger but I knew his brother, Bud and his sister, Wanda very well. So sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his entire family.

To Carol, and the Scott family. I haven't seen or spoken with Tom for many years, and I regret that. But, notice of his passing struck me very deeply. Tom was a good friend, golfing partner, fellow principal in the SDP, and, an ear often for his "constructive criticism" he had for the SDP. I still remember helping him get the necessary money for feeding the Saul animals, and the hard times with PETA.

I know you spent lots of happy times in the great house on Barren Hill and the famous barber chair.

Tom was a good man and my friend. I will miss him.

I was Tom's nurse practitioner for his last five years at Saul High School. He was a great leader and he always had the children's interest at heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. Hopefully happy memories will help ease your pain during this sad time and help you smile again soon. May he Rest In Peace.

Carol,
My thoughts, care and prayers are with you. Tommy was a wonderful guy and I have always admired and respected him. He was a pretty good basketball player, too, as I well remember. And what a lucky guy he was to have you as his wife and partner. God bless you.

Dear Carol, Molly, Jess, and Ben,
What sad news to learn about Tom's death. He was a great educational leader and we all enjoyed his spirit and fight to move science and math education forward. I sometimes wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not in the way he was telling me something but he always was honest and set me straight if I misinterpreted my take on his thoughts. He'd laughed a little with a twinkle in his eye and I knew he was teasing. I loved and enjoyed his honesty and how he stood up for what was right. He was an amazing husband and father, as we all enjoyed those summers with Project 2061. With the deepest sympathy, Marlene Hilkowitz

Although I have known Tommy's brother Bud for many years, I only knew Tommy from the brief time we were in college together. I was always impressed with his intelligence and his demeanor. Evidently, he put his talents to good use by dedicating his life to the education of future generations. I was saddened to hear of his passing, and I offer my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Mrs Scott, My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr Scott was my principal at Saul. He was a kind man. He truly did a lot for his students, myself being one of them. He felt all students deserved a chance, and an education. He viewed and valued his students based on their merits. He will be remembered as a Educator and Luminary. Zoila Hillanbrand Sullivan

Carol, Molly, Jess and Ben....so many wonderful times and memories. Tommy will be missed by us all. Tommy's smile, his one liners, his raising his eyebrows at something you did or said Carol.....so much love filled his heart and you, his family, were the center of that love. His life was cut way too short. Our thoughts and prayers with you now and always. Love u lots, Jim and Phyllis. Xoxo
