Time passes & people forget. The motorcycle parades cease to come. The momentum of the celebration of him is over. Now he's just your son, husband, brother or father in memory. There's nothing more to be done except to live your life in the light as you would want it to be seen & shown as an example to the world. Bless Tim for giving so much for so long.

well as you may all know courtney simpson is a student at saint timothy school.I'm one of her best friends there,well in 6th grade,and i care for everything that happens too her, because when i have friends like courtney that are there for you for anything and support you at all times i have to be there for her.I have known her for like 4 or 5 years now and we have gotten to know each other so much that we are like sisters.i know i never got to meet your dad but he was probably a really good police officer a very good father, and also a very good husband.His funeral was the first funeral i have ever been too and i have to say it was one of the sweetest masses i have ever been to.If you really got to know courtney, you would know that she is a perky,hyper,crazy kid that a lot of people could never live their life without.I;m here for you court with whatever you need anything in the whole entire world.I am very sorry for your loss. &&& courtney,terry, and sam stay together forever and dont regret anything that happens.even though one of your family member died that you were very close too i think you guys handled it very well and im here for all of you no matter what happens.LOVe you courtney always and forever!!!

Dear Simpson Family,
I am really sorry for your loss. I may not have known Sergeant Simpson but from what i have heard he seems like a really great man. I go to school with Courtney and when everyone found out what happened only if you could see how everyone was heart broken. It seemed like everyone in the grade was crying and it seemed lke everyone lost their own dad. Court you have more friends then you will ever know. When something this tragic happens to someone as fun and sweet as you everyone feels the pain. If you ever need anything I will be here for you just give me a call anytime if you want to talk. We miss you and we feel your pain and please remember that we ARE here for you. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one...
I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done....
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways...

I'd like the tears of those who grieve,

Of happy memories that I leave

My deepest sympathy to the Simpson family. I had to pleasure of meeting Sgt. Simpson when my house was broken into last winter. I live in the 24th and he was one of the responders. He was amazing - he calmed my fears, brought laughter and even bonded with my Dad. But there was one thing that set him apart - out of all the officers at my house that night (it was a slow night they said) Sgt. Simpson came back to check on my house and me several times to make sure everything was going okay. It truly is a shame that he is no longer with us.

Dear Simpson Family
Words alone can not express how deeply sorry I feel about Sgt. Simpsons passing. Tim and I met a long time ago at my families pizza shop (Four Sons) Just recently I went on a ride along with him to see how much our streets have changed. It was shocking to see what police have to deal with. Tim wanted to make the experience positive, so as only he could, he introduced me to a corner of known drug dealers as Father Salvo (short for salvation) he had drug dealers and drug users confessing to me. We had a lot of fun but he used this to help 2 people get help for their addiction. It was one of the most caring acts I had ever whitnessed. All of us at Four Sons are thankful to have met Tim and we Thank You for sharing him with us. We salute you and pray for you,God Bless

Dear Mrs. Simpson,
You, your children and all of Tim's family, friends and Philadelphia PD have my heartfelt condolences and prayers.
I could not believe it when I woke up early Tuesday morning and turned on the tv while getting ready for work and it was announced that Sgt. Timothy Simpson had been killed. I just cried. Not again! Not Tim.
I knew Tim as a regular customer at The Bus Stop which is a breakfast/lunch truck owned by my brother who does the cooking while I wait on people, which is parked on Front Street between Luzerne and Hunting Park. We get many of the Philadelphia's finest police from the 24th, 25th, 26th police districts, along with SWAT, the bomb unit, undercover, etc., as patrons.
When Sgt. Liczbinski was killed I recall how Tim was cutting the lawns, picking up donations, etc. We were so proud that Tim got to arrest the killer. I live in Bensalem and a member of St. Ephrem parish on Hulmeville Rd., across from Resurrection Cemetery, I watched the funeral on tv and although it was raining I decided to pay my respects and go watch the funeral procession. I just happened to see Tim in an unmarked car and called out his name, he just waved. I was pretty much covered up because of the rain. The next time I saw Tim I asked him did he remember somone calling out to him and he said "Yeah,was that you? You looked like the unabomber". We laughed. I also took pictures of the funeral procession from a civilan point of view and gave Tim copies, he really liked them and remarked how great the respect was from the people and police of Bensalem.
Tim had the truck cell number and would call in his order ahead of time. Most of the time Tim would come for breakfast in his civilian clothes to pick up his sandwiches on the way to his scrap metal job. On occasion he would show up in his uniform, sunglasses and all and surprise me.
Tim's favorite sandwich was a (KBECH) kielbasa egg and cheese. But forevermore in his honor it will be known as the "Simpson" sandwich.
Tim not only would give me a tip (most customers don't) he remembered that I am a huge Nascar fan and this past September he gave me two baseball caps from the Dover International Speedway commemorating the 40th year anniversary of the speedway. I will always cherish this gesture.
We knew Tim as a guy who was always doing something, always in motion. Last month he was telling us about the food he cooked at the yacht club and what a success it was.
It was great to have known him.
Tim really stood out! He was easy to talk to and I was always happy to see Tim, he was easy go lucky and always had a smile. If Tim can leave me with anything or touched me in anyway I would have to say it was his great attitude, and his pleasant spirit. I hope I can pay it forward.

Dear Kathy and children: I write this with a broken heart. I first met Timmy when he was assigned to the 1st District after graduation from the police academy. I was a Corporal in 3 platoon. Timmy was not in my platoon but as we crossed over relieving 4x12 and being relieved by daywork, I saw him. Eventually he became part of the burglary team in the 1st District. I saw him more often then. He was always cheerful, full of life, excited about the job, sometimes frustrated with the job, but always up, rarely down. Timmy performed his job very well, he was excellent as a Police Officer and was used to train newly assigned recruits. He was professional in his handeling of offenders. When I heard he made Corporal, I had to laugh because paperwork wasn't one of his favorite things. Before I became a Sgt. and left the 1st, Timmy was a Corporal in either the 3rd or 4th Districts, and I believe we were in the same squads, he would call when he got stuck on some point in doing Corporal reports. He was a joy to work with, and I shall miss him dearly. When I heard the news on Tuesday morning, I had to catch my breath. I have lost other "Brothers and Sisters" in the department recently, starting with the murder of ret. Sgt. Joe Alullo in October last year. Its getting very hard to hear this type of news. Please know that Timmy will be in my prayers, as will all of you. My deepest sorrow, and love to you all. God bless you, Katie and children. Timmy will be watching out for you all from now on.

"SAFELY HOME"
(Author Unknown)
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth--
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

George loved spending time with him and Ter on the boat and tubing. He was the best to him ,he will remember all Tim did for him forever he was a great mentor. I cant ever recall a conversation that I had with Tim without him talking about you kids and what he was going to do next as far as a trip or surprise for one of you guys. Our prayers & heart goes out to all of you. We are so sorry to hear about Timmy. He was a extradonary person and will be sadly missed by so many. I hope all of you can take comfort knowing he is in a far better place. I know John will be very happy to see him. I imagine they will remines about the chicken parmagen Timmy made. The best John ever had. The loss of a loved one is always difficult, even moreso this time of year. Remember that Timmy will always be with you and be watching over all of you from HEAVEN.
