Virginia Lavino Obituary
VIRGINIA (nee Vail) on Jan. 8, 2004 of Phila.; beloved wife of the late E. George Lavino; loving mother of George V. Lavino of Amelia Island, FL and the late Henry D. and Stephen V.; also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was a founding member of The Phila. Antique Show. She was on the women's committee of The Univ. of PA Museum, a member of The Cosmopolitan Club and a graduate of Connecticut College. She was a benefactor of the Arts and donated many items to The Woodlands, Athenaeum of Phila. and commissioned a sculpture by Henry Mitchell to The Hoosak School in Hoosak Falls, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Thurs., Jan. 15, at 11 A.M. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Whitemarsh, in Fort Washington, PA. Int. to follow at St. Thomas Churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Lavino's memory may be made to: The Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Reed St., Ste. 200, Phila., PA 19147 or to: The A.L.S. Foundation, P.O. Box 40777, Phila., PA 19107.
