Sorry; Father was a great friend! His parents, and mine were helpful to the Norbitine at Southeast.

Again, sorry.

Fr. Burke was one of the important influences on my life. He was my History instructor at SECHS in '43-44. He was assistant A.D. at SECHS when as a sophmore, I was the football team's manager. I'll never forget the speeding ticket he avoided on Oregon Ave,, while returning from a pre-season football scrimmage with Lower Merion H.S., and how he charmed the policeman from giving him a ticket. I visited him often at St. Norbert's while I served on Villanova's Board of Trustees in the 70's. He was a good and holy man ! Fr. Burke was an excellent priest. I'll remember him always as my mentor and a great influence on this kid from Broad and Oregon in S Philly ! Ed McGehrin '47 SECHS
