WILLIAM R. JR., on Nov. 21, 2009. Beloved son of William and Karen Panas (nee Ditro), devoted brother of Lauren Anne, dear grandson of Dorothy Panas, Roberta and the late John Ditro. He is also survived by his girlfriend Sheena Leo, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his buddy Duchess. Relatives and friends are invited to attend His Viewing Sat. beginning 8 A.M. Nativity B.V.M. Church, Belgrade St. and E. Allegheny Ave. 19134. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 A.M. with interment to follow in Holy Redeemer Cem. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Bill's memory to Nativity Memorial Fund. (REILLY)

hi billy can you please help your mom get through life she is having a real hard time dealing with life with out you in it I know your presents is with her everyday you must help her to move on I read alot of things your mom posts on face book and she makes me cry it makes it hard for me to because my Jeffrey is over there with you also people don"t understand people like your mom and me some say we dwell on it to much and maybe we do because it"s so hard to let go November 21 is a hard day for me also it was my Jeffrey"s day of birth so now when this day rolls around every year I think of you also and I know you hear me please help your mom and dad get through this and I will keep you in my prayers also may our good Lord always keep you in his care billy!

I never met him but when I went to visit my grandmothers grave he was only a few feet away so I praid for him and all of you, and before I left Phila to return home I went to the memorial to show my support. I always keep you in my thoughts.

I am extremely sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain your going through. I only met Billy a few times, but from what I knew he was very caring. He meant a lot to my boyfriend kevin and was very close with him. I remember they always called eachother "bapes" and I would always laugh at them two. I'll never forget when they would see eachother, Billy would always say hi to me and my kids as if he known us forever. He was a great person from what I knew of him and my prayers are with his family and girlfriend. May god bless you.

William and Karen are me niece and nephew, Billy my great nephew. Unfortunately due to circumstances, I regret to say that I did not know my great nephew as I wish now I should have. Hi Billy, we attended your funeral this weekend. It was beautiful Billy Boy. Your Mom & Dad and Lauren did a wonderful job, I can see your smile now. It was hard though, it was so very hard. I was comforted to know you were with us though. I'm so very sorry to have lost you. I cry everyday, I know you wouldn't want that but I can't help it. Each morning that I wake up is a new memory of you. From a little child to a grown man. Remember you told me that last summer, "we'll always have memories, right Aunt Dot". You were right Billy Boy, but now it just doesn't seem like it's enough. I wonder what you are doing? There are so many thoughts, honey. I can still feel your hugs, I hope you can feel mine. Well today had to have been one of the hardest days of your lives. Putting your baby boy to rest, I could not ever imagine. As a mother of 2 boys, it broke my heart driving past Nativity today. Yes there was a lot of love and support there for your family, but you will never understand why. Please know that there are a lot of prayers going out to your family as your baby is welcomed into heaven. I only knew Billy for a little of a year, but he was was the first person I met when I moved to the neighborhood. He was such a great guy and always said hello. He even told me when my my brake light was out last week. It' a shame to lose such a great asset to this community. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family Billy.

We haven't seen Billy, or you guys in some time, but we will always remember our little "Cohox Devil", and how you always taught Billy to "respect the coach", which in turn made him, as we are hearing and reading, a really great guy. I was fortunate enough to get to know you, although tragically, for reasons unjustified, it was only for a short while.
The things i will remember most about you, will be your smile, your charisma and what a handsome young man you were turning into. Also how emotionally strong you were for your family during your mothers battle with colon cancer. A strong willed young man with potential and future filled with possibilities ahead of him.

Karen, Billy & Lauren & the rest of the Ditro Family.I was part of your family for a short time, my children however did keep us as a common thread.
I never had the chance to know Young Billy, but if he turned out anything like Shannon then he was a person worth knowing. I am sorry I missed the chance. However I do know that Shannon was there waiting with open arms to teach her cousin the ropes of what happens after. So please always keep that in mind. So from this point on your lives have been changed. Take every day one minute at a time. If you need to cry, do it. If you need to laugh do it (Billy won't mind). If you need to break something do that too. You need to greive in your own way, no one else's. I can tell you that the girls and Gene and I are here. Unfornately Donna, Nicole, Kim and I have lived through this horrific nightmare in 1996. No not by a bullet but by a train we lost our beloved Shannon that left us filled with anguish, anger, and despair. When your family attened Nicole and Kim's wedding you saw first hand that we were able to displace those feelings with love, strength, and joyous memories. mr and mrs panas i dont know you but saw what happened on the news. my heart goes out to you and your family at this most difficult time. your son was so handsome and i could tell he was a good kid i have two sons of my own and can't imagine something so tragic like this happening. you have to be strong right now but will never ever get over this.
