Lorrita Parsons Obituary
She grew up in Big Pine, California, where she met and married Edward Parsons. They were married on August 5, 1956. They lived in Bishop and had 4 children. Eventually the family moved to Southern California for work, where their 5th child was born. In 1970 the Parsons family moved to Palmdale, California where they began studying the Bible. As a devoted Jehovah's Witness, her greatest joy was sharing Bible truths with others. What comforted her during her illness was the scriptural promise of the resurrection and the opportunity to live on a paradise earth forever. (John 5:28, 29; Psalms 37:29). She was a caring and loving mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends in her congregation. She also loved gardening and working in her yard.
Lorrita is preceded in death by her husband Edward "Eddie" Parsons Sr, her parents Raymond and Evelina Stone, brothers Thomas "Shorty" Stone, and Anthony Stone. She is survived by her children Yolonda "Loni" (Ron) Haskins, Edward (Melanie) Parsons Jr, Melissa (Larry) Haskins, Alita Parsons, and Dana (Mark) Georges, 11 grandchildren along with their spouses, and 18 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, sister-in-law Carol (McGee) Stone, Felicia "Punkin" (Stone) Andreas, Francis "Charley" (Gertie) Stone, Raymond Stone Jr, Jonathan Stone, Ross (Rosella) Stone, Ramona (Stone) Wheeler and Luke (Janet) Stone, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives throughout California and Nevada.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1042 W Ave. O-4 Palmdale, California or Zoom video conference, call (760) 920-5693 or (805) 748-9002 for more Zoom info.
Masks Will Be Required. There will be a gathering for family only after service.
