Arthur Troy Obituary
Born Jan. 14, 1939 to Thomas and Lois (Brilliant) Troy in Sharon, Conn., he was raised in Yonkers, N.Y. On Nov. 26, 1982, he married Georgette Wadsworth in Harrisville.
Art served in the United States Air Force, and retired after 20 years as a Technical Sergeant. He later worked at Sawyer Canoe Factory, RPI, Provincial House nursing homes, and Lakeview Manor nursing home. He was a member of the Iosco Sportsmen's Club.
Art enjoyed target shooting, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid gun collector. He liked whittling, and watching westerns on television.
Art is survived by his wife, Georgette; his son, Robert Troy; his daughter, Erin (Anthony) Ferraro; grandchildren, Julie Troy (Chris Tobin), Rebecca (Eddie) Funk, and Andrew Troy; great grandchildren, Ian Troy, and Christopher Troy; his former wife, Barbara Troy; his stepdaughter, Randie McGaw; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wadsworth; daughter-in-law, Mary Troy; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved beagle, Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Michael Troy and Christopher Troy; his sister, Lois (John) Focht; his stepson, James McGraw; and his beagles, Susie and Belle.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Met Art in 1970 when I was stationed at WAFB when I returned from Vietnam. I was assigned to the AR Shop along with Art. Taught me a lot about the B-52 and KC-135. Also taught me how to sharpen (hone) my pocketknife with a whet stone. A little spit goes a long way. Hehehe! We ran into each other every once in a while, around town. We both stayed in the area after the Air Force. He was a good man! God Bless you Art you will be missed.
