Charlene Schaedig Obituary
She was born on July 14, 1963, in San Pedro, Calif. to Paul and Patricia (Simpson) Butner.
With a young family Charlene was proud to have become a licensed vocational nurse moving into property management later in life. Charlene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She truly lived for her children. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, music, and going dancing.
She had a big heart and enjoyed the simple things in life. She had a laugh that was contagious, and she would do anything to make her kids smile.
Charlene is survived by her mother, Patricia Simpson; children, James (Lindsey), Daniel, Leah, and David; brother, Ben Watson; sisters, Sherry Casao, and Amber Gorman; grandchildren, Mercedes, Damian, Mary, and Aaron; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Paul; brothers, Paul and Steven.
Charlene's service will take place on Monday, Nov. 18, at noon, at Christ Church Episcopal in East Tawas. An online registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences, memories, and photos of Charlene.

Char was the first friend I made when I moved to Alpena. We were the first to go to the midnight shift, which was perfect come garage sale season. We would have a wonderful breakfast at the Country Cafe, then hit the sales before too picked over. No matter where we were we enjoyed it more together, never at a loss for conversation or laughter. When I retired and moved to East Tawas, I contacted Charlene to find she was living close by. We were thrilled and planned to get together. Alas, time was not on our side. I am so grateful for the time getting to know her and the great fun we had together. Good bye my friend. I love you and will miss dearly.
