I am so sorry to hear of Doug´s passing. I was the student swim team manager when Doug was a diver on the team. I remember him as a generous person, making me feel comfortable. I was a pretty geeky kid but Doug never treated me as such. He was gone too soon.

Sorry to hear of your passing old friend. It's been many years since we've hunted and fished together. I still thought of you often remembering our spirited fishing competitions. I also appreciated all the lessons you gave me in bird hunting. I guess I'll admit now you were the better shot. Wishing you peace.

To Sharon, and the entire Hennigar family... I was so saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I have countless fond memories of Doug and the family through our association with St. John's church that both of our families attended. As Doug and I were the same age, we grew up together, and I also have many memories of the good times we shared thru our years attending the Oscoda area schools. Although my life has kept me from the Oscoda area less often than I would like, the people and the area are always in my heart. Much love to all of the Hennigar family. Laurie Matthews-Goyne
