Nancy Gaskell Obituary

Nancy "Nan" Jeanne (Peters) Gaskell, 76, of Greenbush, passed away peacefully and somewhat unexpectedly on June 22, 2025, in Bay City, surrounded by her loving family.
Nan was born on Sept. 22, 1948, in Detroit to Geraldine "Geri" (Glenday) Peters and Norman "Pete" Peters. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Patronage of St. Joseph. Nan spent many years in Oscoda raising her family, eventually settling in Greenbush, where she lived out her later years.
Nan's greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, whom she is survived by. She was a devoted wife to Ronald R. Gaskell and a proud, loving mother to Flynn Gaskell, Geri Gaskell, and Traci Garnett (Randall). She was affectionately known as "Nina" to her grandchildren, Tyler and Cheyla Gaskell, Aliza and Damian Odell, and Ember Gaskell.
Nan is also survived by her two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geri and Norman Peters; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lakewood Shores Pavilion in Oscoda, with a short service at 1 p.m.
