Albert Sweeney Obituary

Albert G. Sweeney, 83, passed away peacefully in Beaufort at his home, where he resided with his daughter, after a short illness. Albert was born in Colchester, VT on July 18, 1931. He was the son of Irene and Harold Sweeney. Albert attended Winooski High School, graduated and married Anita, his wife of 61 years, who died in 2013. They had two children, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Albert was an avid birdwatcher. He loved and enjoyed being out in a bird refuge in the backyard. He was a very devoted father and grandfather. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10th at St. Peter's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers any gifts should be directed to the St. Helena Mission.
