Blanche Asaad Obituary
November 13, 1933 - April 24, 2024
Morehead City, North Carolina - Dr. Blanche Labib Siha Asaad MD 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on April 24th. Blanche was born November 13th, 1933 in Assuit Egypt. She was residing at Crystal Bluffs in Morehead City, NC at the time of her death. She passed away shortly after falling and breaking her hip.
She was the daughter of Labib and Lily Siha of Cairo Egypt. She is survived by her sister, Warda and brother Victor. Her sister Mona proceeded her in death. She married her husband, who preceded her in death, Dr. Ezzat N. Asaad, in Chicago, on November 26th, 1958 following their graduation from the School of Medicine, University of Cairo.
She practiced pediatric medicine until she was 80, having her own private practice for more than 30 years. She specialized in children with disabilities.
She was a member of the Daughters of the King, at St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal Church, Swansboro, NC. She was very active in charitable endeavors and organizations. She and Ezzat traveled many times internationally as Medical Missionaries.
She loved her Lord, her family, her church and her friends deeply. She loved gardening, playing cards, and listening to Frank Sinatra. She enjoyed playing tennis and running 5k's when healthy.
She took great joy at participating in Community Bible Study and teaching. She was known to be kind, patient, slow to anger and above all, gracious to all who knew and loved her.
She is the beloved mother of Marc (Shonda), residing in Swansboro NC and Mary (Frank) residing in Mars, PA and grandmother of Pierce and Dimitri Asaad, Maria and John Zervos and great grandmother of Theo.
Blanche's interment will be on Friday, May 10; her celebration of life will be on Saturday, May 11 at St. Luke's Anglican Church on Hilton Head Island, SC. She will rest beside her late husband, Dr. Ezzat Asaad MD, in 6 Oaks Cemetery on Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations to go to the Make a Wish foundation or St. Luke's Church Foundation (Hilton Head Island) specifically for the Tanzania Mission. www.Keithfuneral.com.
