Donald Arboe Obituary
February 10, 1929 - April 2, 2025
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Don passed away peacefully in his home on Hilton Head Island on April 2, 2025, at the age of 96. He was born in Brookfield, IL, to William T and Mabel E Arboe. He attended North Central College in Naperville, IL, on a basketball scholarship and graduated with a BS in Mathematics and PE in 1952. He met Mary Ellen Finnell on a blind date and they married on May 11, 1957. Don was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen; proud father of three children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life and reception will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Jimmy Valvano V Foundation for Cancer Research. www.v.org Islandfuneralhome.com
