Jack Linden Obituary

Jack Linden Jack Linden of Woodstock, GA passed away December 2, 2008. †A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Phoebe of 53 years, his sons, Roger †of NYC and Richard and wife Kim of Roswell, grandchild, Joseph, and brother, Sam Lindenbaum of Los Angeles. † After retiring as an administrator at the Federal Courthouse at Foley Square in NYC, he pursued his passion for New Orleans Jazz by teaching about the development of this unique American music. He played the 4-string banjo and guitar at †many places including the Cajun in NY with the Great Atlantic Jazz band, the Sun City Syncopators in South Carolina, and the Savannah Stompers in Georgia. †He will be greatly missed. †A †graveside service will be held in Friday, December 5 at 12:00 pm †at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA with Rabbi Steven J. Lebow officiating. †Shiva will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7th at 7:00 pm at the Linden home in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jack's memory to The Meningioma Project of the Brain Science Foundation (www.brainsciencefoundation.org). Arrangements by Green Lawn Jewish Funeral Services at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, Sandy Springs, GA (404) 851-9900.
