Fleming Island, Florida - Jeffrey Lewis Maher, 50, passed away after his 2.5 year courageous battle with cancer on April 25, 2025, in Fleming Island, Florida.
Born on July 3, 1974, Jeffrey pursued a career in healthcare after graduating from TCL Nursing. He began his professional journey working as a Head Chef at The Seabrook on Hilton Head Island until 2014. In 2015, he proudly earned his LPN certification and continued to serve as a dedicated nurse until 2022.
Jeffrey was a devoted husband to Tiffany and a loving father to his daughter Makenzie and stepson Cole. He also shared a close bond with his brother Jason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elaine Maher.
A man of vibrant spirit and warmth, Jeffrey brought joy to those around him with his fun-loving and caring nature. He had a deep passion for sports especially cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks, Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Rangers and enjoyed traveling whenever he could. He loved to cook for his friends and family, and was a master in the kitchen. His true passion was nursing, and he loved caring for all his beloved patients.
A Foundation Scholarship will be set up in his honor at Technical College of the Lowcountry for Nursing, for anyone who wishes to contribute to his legacy.
Jeffrey's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.
