John Breslin Obituary

John E. Breslin (Jack) John E. Breslin (Jack) of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away peacefully September 3, 2016 at the age of 87 at Hilton Head Hospital. He was a native of Rochester, New York, and graduated from Canisius College. Jack had a successful career of 35 years at Eastman Kodak Company and then enjoyed 30 years of retirement 25 of which were in Hilton Head. He was a member of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. He was a member of Bear Creek Golf and served as president for Bear Creek Golf Club and the Senior Men's Golf Association. For several years he marshaled on the 16th hole at the Heritage. Jack enjoyed visits and vacations with family and traveling to many countries with Peg. He was able to trace his family genealogy in Ireland and visit the areas where these families lived. Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peg, and daughters Mary King (Trip), Marjorie Breslin, Joan Sechrist (Scott) and son Daniel Breslin (Melody DeRosa), seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Breslin. He was predeceased by his parents George and Emma Hiller Breslin and brothers George Breslin and Robert Breslin and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 24, 2016, at 10:30 am at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church followed by interment in the Columbarium. The family wishes to express their thanks to Hilton Head Hospital, Brookdale Court and Tidewater Hospice for their loving care and kindness during the last months of his journey.
