We have definitely lost one of the great ones. Grief can be hard, but our special memories of Joe will always be with us. The look on his face was priceless when we surprised him and showed up at his home in Hilton Head earlier this year. He was always up beat and had a smile on his face. We will miss him but we know he is in a better place. Remembering you and Mary today and always.

Joe was one of the few New Yorkers that I really liked. I haven't seen him for a while, but I remember the times spent talking with him and he was great to be around.

Joe was family to me. He always had a smile on his face, a joke to tell, and was always laughing and cheerful. Although his ordeal was prolonged, not once did anyone hear him complain. He never wanted to bother anyone with his issues. Instead, he focused on the relationships themselves and looked to further them. One of my favorite memories of Joe was when I was at his house. I saw joe singing along to an album in which he was part of the group on the record. You could see him go back in time and almost see on his face what he visualized in his mind. A time in his youth, simpler times, and the joy it brought him. He was an incredible person and will be missed tremendously. I love you Joe ! I will see you again one day.

He was a great landlord to us when we first moved to Hilton Head. We were just thinking of him and Mary, wishing we had never moved. Joe was always so happy and kind. Mary our thoughts are with you.
