Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Judith F. Russert passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2023, at age 86 on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Judy was born in Bennington, Vermont in 1937, grew up in Kenosha, WI and lived in Elyria, OH and Cincinnati, OH, finally retiring to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1990.

Judy graduated from Denison University in 1958, during which time she met her future husband, David. In her early work career in advertising, her team developed the "Jump For Jif" peanut butter ad campaign!

Judy and Dave were married in 1960. After having three children, Judy earned a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati in Special Education.

Judy was a very successful junior golfer and carried her love of golf throughout her life, playing competitively at Long Cove Club then Colleton River Club, where she and Dave enjoyed the friendships of many people.

Judy and Dave loved to travel and enjoyed many exciting trips over the years. Particularly, they annually visited St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands for over four decades.

Together they created a very special family summer vacation home at Clear Lake, IN. The friendships and good times enjoyed there are legendary!

Judy was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church on Hilton Head Island.

Judy is survived by her husband Dave; their two sons Matt (Kim) and Ben (Amy); seven grandchildren, Cole, Olivia, Clay, Torie (Ryan), Lissie, Benny, Sarie; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Amelie Murray; her sister Patsy Callahan and family, and Rick (Julie) Frost and family. She was pre-deceased by their daughter Beth in 2018.
