Lois Waldron Obituary

Lois Waldron
November 19, 1925 - December 4, 2021
Greenwood, South Carolina - After a long and well lived life, Lois passed peacefully onto her next heavenly journey. Born in Orange, NJ to Charles and Alice Liljestrand, Lois spent her childhood in NJ until she met and married John (Jack) Waldron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and her son, Thomas Jonathan.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Susan Darden, Barbara Waldron, Jacquie Waldron, Deb (Kevin Hammond); grandchildren, Tom Hatcher (Dee), Kim Russell-Reed (Rod), Samantha Dodge (Mark), Shane Smith, Erika Gorman (Clint), Hayley and Cori Hammond and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to all the family activities that Lois thrived on, she loved her golf outings as well as bowling leagues in Lancaster, OH. Her cooking and entertaining skills transcended corporate gatherings, civic functions and of course, family events. The extra time for golf and travel enhanced the retirement years in Hilton Head, SC. With her move to Wesley Commons in Greenwood, she was even closer to three of her kids which made family visits more frequent and fun. Her time was filled with bridge, her dog play time and social interactions with residents who became fast friends. We are going to miss her blunt humor, unique opinions but mostly her unconditional love.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to: Greenwood Humane Society, 2820 Airport Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
Lois will be interred with Jack in Beaufort National Cemetery. Condolences may be shared to [email protected].
