Marilyn Cashwell Obituary

Marilyn Miller CashwellHilton Head Island, SC - Marilyn Miller Cashwell, 90, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Hilton Head Hospital with her family at her side. She was the widow of Jack Miller and Joseph Cashwell. Born December 20, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Marion Hillman. She received her degree from Dennison College in Ohio, and was a member of Delta Gamma. She was a Red Cross Gray Lady, a member of the Junior League of Akron, Ohio, and a member of the Akron Garden Club. Marilyn was a volunteer and a member of the Women's Board of Summa Health System (Akron City Hospital). Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Suzanne James (Donald), of Hilton Head Island, SC; son, Lawrence H. Miller (Angela), of St. Augustine, FL; granddaughter, Ambrey N. Miller, Warrington, PA; step family, Richard Cashwell (Suzanne), Pittsboro, NC; Susan M. Cashwell, Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Peter Cashwell (Kelly); David Cashwell (Pam); six great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, at TidePointe from 5:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Litter Box, of Hilton Head, 46 Old Wild Horse Road, HHI, 29926, or Volunteers in Medicine, 15 North Ridge Drive, HHI 29926.
