Mary Kathryn Gluck Mary Kathryn Gluck passed away Monday, October 23rd, 2017 at 9:40pm at home surrounded daughters Diane Benedict, Pamela Andriliunas, Janet Mulcahy, sons Charles "Paul" Gluck wife Mary, and Joseph Gluck. Mary was born May 1st, 1923 in Forman North Dakota to Wellington P. and Cecelia (Coughlin) Smith. She graduated from Forman High School, entered North Dakota State Collage of Science in Fargo. With the onset of WWII, she joined the Marine Corps where she met, the love of her life, Marine Charles Vincent Gluck, they were married July 1, 1946, the start of a 71-year journey that produced 5 children, and 35 grand and great grandchildren. They settled in Wayne, New Jersey where Mary was a stay at home mother and in the later years was a Librarian at the Wayne Public Library. Mary and Charles retired to the Low Country in 1985 from Wayne New Jersey. Mary fully embraced the new Southern life style, her new friends, she took up golf, and loved her strolls on the beach finding shark's teeth and interesting shells. Mary was preceded by her mother and father, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters; Judy Bauer of Milwaukee, OR, Edith and Dick Betting of Valley City, ND, brother-in-law John Eugene Gluck and wife Marlene, daughters; Diane Benedict and husband Ray, Pamela Andriliunas and husband Mike, Janet Mulcahy, sons; Charles Paul Gluck and wife Mary and Joseph Gluck. Our love and appreciation to Carol Meegan for her many years of love and friendship to mom and dad. Our heartfelt appreciation to Peggy Dixon and Felicia Mercerour beloved Care Givers. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday October 31st, 2017 at St. Peters Catholic Church on Lady's Island. There will be viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:30am, followed by the reception in the Walsh Palmetto Room. The interment 2pm at Beaufort National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Caroline Hospice 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC. 29935. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Gluck, my second "mom". What a beautiful lady she was and what fond and loving memories I have of her and your whole family from our childhood days.
