One of the finest men I have ever met. I was made to feel like an old friend the first time I met him. Hilton Head has lost a treasure and I thank the family for sharing Tom with all of us. One of the motivations to relocate to the island was Tom, I figured if it was good enough for him it would be more than enough for me - He will be missed.

62 years ago when I was a somewhat gangly , lonely 15 year old in Warwick Rhode Island, I met a guy who said” come hang out at my house”. I did and I remember those visits and sleepovers as some of the best times. Over all those years his welcoming spirit never once waned. I loved him and I will miss him

I first met Tom and Diane back in 1979 after I had just moved to HHI. They were wonderful neighbors behind my first home I purchased on the Island. What a great couple and they were always willing to help anyone when the need was there. He will be sincerely missed.

When I invited Tom to play Augusta National there was statement that he made that I just remembered. We were walking down the 13th hole and he said "If I had a lounge chair and a cooler of beer I would sit here the rest of the afternoon and watch the other guys come thru."
A true lover of the game.

What a wonderful man he was. I remember playing piano at one of his St. Patricks' Day celebrations. His mother was there just singing her heart out. I remember Diane was always right by Tom's side. They worked together and built their legacy together. He was a fine man. They were an outstanding couple.

When I became a widow he invited me to Reiley´s for dinner tonight meet other ladies in the same statue of life. He promised to take care of me. Years passed & the friendship more meaningful, even on the golf course where I served as one of the chairpersons. You fought a good fight & ran the rest! Rest in peace.
