Winifred Jennings Broccoli After a short illness, Winifred "Fredi" Broccoli, nee Jennings, died quietly on May 16, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Savannah, Georgia. She had been living in Sun City, Bluffton, SC prior to her illness. Mrs. Broccoli lived her life fully and represented her country in the service of the Department of State. Originally, from Park City, Utah, she joined the Foreign Service in 1960. Her first posting was to Taipei, Taiwan where she met and married her late husband, Dominic A. Broccoli, a Foreign Service Staff Officer. Mrs. Broccoli also served in Teheran, Kuala Lumpur, Rome, Mexico City, Palermo, and Casablanca. She will be missed dearly by her three children, Marc Broccoli of Ridgefield, CT, Dr. Dominique "Kiki" Broccoli of Savannah, GA and Christopher Broccoli of Zurich, Switzerland; their spouses, Peter Macdonald of Savannah, GA and Lisa Broccoli of Zurich, Switzerland; her four grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha, Kathryn, and Shep; her brother the Honorable (ret.) James B. Jennings of Boise, ID; and the many close friends she had made over the years. In lieu of flowers or services, Mrs. Broccoli asked that her life be celebrated by making donations to the Radiation Oncology Fund at Memorial Health Foundation, 4750 Waters Ave., Suite 212, Savannah, GA 31403. To the Broccoli Children,
Mom and I were so glad to be able to spend some time with Dom and Fredi once they moved south. It was great reminising about Tokyo days and getting to see how they decorated their Sun City home with all their overseas furniture. We send our love and condolences.
