Alice L. Tocci

SAUGUS - Alice L. Tocci, 79, a longtime former resident of Lynn currently living in Saugus, passed away on Jan. 21, 2014 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, surrounded by her loving family.Alice was the daughter of the late Mary Katherine (Stamp) and Cladinoro (Clarence) Tocci. Born in Waltham, Alice grew up in the house her father built in Watertown and she graduated from Watertown High School. She received her Associate degree in medical terminology from Andover Junior College. Before having her family, Alice worked at Raytheon, where she met her former husband, Daniel R. Wessell. While raising her five children, she worked for Ideal/Friendly Home Toy Parties and became a district manager. She trained many demonstrators and won awards for top sales in her district for many years. Alice also worked as a homemaker and a home health aide.Alice was the devoted mother of Linda Amirault and her husband James of Saugus, Alyce Slepoy and her husband Victor, and Barbara Wessell Wanberg, all of Lynn, Daniel Wessell of Florida, and Thomas Wessell and his wife Vickie of Washington. Alice was the proud grandmother of James, Amanda and Amy Amirault, Brendan, Tyler and Lyndsay Slepoy, Ashley Leis and her husband Anthony, Zachary and Laura Wanberg, Candi Franklin, Bethany Kellogg, Melissa Bessom, Mariah, Jessica and Rebecca Wessell. Alice is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She is the sister of Doris "Dot" Hamilton, Mary Willis, George Tocci, and the late Paul, Leo and Charles Tocci.Alice enjoyed bingo, traveling, especially to Niagara Falls, attending concerts, doing puzzles and playing board games with her grandchildren. She cherished the time spent with family. She had a great sense of humor, and always kept everyone laughing at family gatherings. She will be missed and remembered with great love.Service information: Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn.
