Caitlin R. DiFilippo

LYNN -- Caitlin R. DiFilippo, 20 years, of Lynn, died on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Tufts New England Medical Center Boston after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Melrose, the daughter of John and Laurie (Aucoin) DiFilippo. She was raised in Lynn and lived in Lynn all of her life. She was a graduate of Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical High School in Danvers and a student at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island majoring in Equine Science. Her passion was horses and horseback riding, especially with her horse Versace (a.k.a. Sir Voltaire). She won many ribbons competing in horse shows. She loved music, drawing and animals. She loved horror movies, Halloween and the "Supernatural"? series. Mostly she enjoyed her family and friends.  In addition to her parents John and Laurie, she leaves her brother, John A. DiFilippo Jr. of Lynn; her grandparents, Marie and Steve Turgeon of Merritt Island, Fla., and Richard Aucoin of Brookline, N.H.; her aunts and uncles, Steven and Charlene DiFilippo of Boxford, Louie DiFilippo of Topsfield, Dina DiFilippo of Middleton, Deidre and Jeoff Tardif of Swampscott, Aaron and Craig Turgeon of Merritt Island, Fla.; her cousins, Angelo, Francesca, Steven, Madison, Mackenzie, Sylvie, Luc, Lily, Brady and Morgan. She also leaves countless friends, who along with her family loved her. She is the granddaughter of the late Donna Aucoin and the late Vito DiFilippo Jr.  Service information: Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield, at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
