Daniel J. Slate, 66

Lynn - Daniel Slate, 66, of Lynn entered into eternal rest on April 8th 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Colleen Slate. He was predeceased by his parents David and Sophie Slate.

Dan was a lifelong resident of the city of Lynn. He was a graduate of Lynn Tech and worked at the General Electric in Lynn and Ametek until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed coin collecting.

Dan will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul, mild mannered, with a great sense of humor who thoroughly enjoyed his time at holiday gatherings which were filled with some of his favorite things, food, family, laughter and love.

He is survived by his son Nathan Slate and his wife Brandi of St Augustine Florida, along with two grandchildren Isabella and Cayden. He is the cherished brother of Linda Bain of Wakefield and Betty Couture of Saugus. Uncle Dan will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his several nieces and nephews. He was the great uncle of three. He was the step father of Jessica and Stephanie. He also leaves his favorite feline companion, Peewee. He was the brother of the late David Slate Jr. and Diane Tucker. He was also the step father of Jessica and Stephanie.
