David Sims Obituary

LYNN -- David M. Sims Sr. passed away on Dec. 31, 2016, at the age of 61. Dave was a lifelong resident of West Lynn, and graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1974. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He was the son of the late Clayton Sims Jr. and the late Mary T. (Gentleman) Sims. Dave is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia A. (Davis) Sims, six children; Tiffany DeMontier and her husband Tom of Melrose, Matthew Sims of Lynn, David Sims Jr. and his wife Kristen of Tewksbury, Katie Simon and her husband Ahimsha of Salem, and Samantha Sims and Cassandra Sims, both of Lynn, and five grandchildren; Ben DeMontier, Colin and Ellie Sims and Greysen and Alanna Simon. He also leaves his brothers Clayton (Skip) Sims III and his wife Patricia of Maine, Ralph Sims of Florida, and William Sims and his wife Patricia of Florida, his mother-in-law Janet LeBoeuf of Florida and many nieces and nephews. Service information: A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church , 579 Boston St., Lynn, MA on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) at www.adaa.org.
