Swampscott - Emily G. (Heath) Dolan, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024 after a brief illness, exactly one year to the day after her late husband, Charles J. "Joe" Dolan, Jr. passed away. Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marian (Scanlon) Heath. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn in 1952 and worked at the General Electric until her retirement. Emily had a great sense of humor, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, golfing and getting together with her high school friends, known as "the Club" girls. They got together monthly for the past 70 years.
Emily leaves her son Michael Dolan and his wife Justine of Mattapoisett and her daughter Kathleen Dolan and her husband William McCarthy of Swampscott; her grandchildren, Sean, Meghan and Michael Dolan, Kim Hamel and her husband James of Weymouth and Lisa Federico of North Reading; her great-grandchildren Luke and Brynn Hamel; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Marian "Mimi" Dolan and her brothers Joseph and James "Buddy" Heath.
Service Information: Her visitation will be held on Friday from 10AM-11AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St (Rt 1A), Lynn, with a funeral service beginning at 11AM. Burial will be in Swampscott Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com

Kathy and Michael, (and family)
Your parents always made me laugh and feel loved. They were a “relationship goals” couple. It is a bit heartwarming that your Mom joined your dad 1 year to the day after his passing. The party must be enormous, loud, and full of joy up there. I’m sure the wives had a seat warmed right next to The Knights of the Round Table.

Emily was my classmate at St Joseph´s and St Mary´s. She was always lots of fun with her quick wit. I had the pleasure of meeting with her a few years ago when I was doing a fund raiser for the nuns. Many laughs were shared going down memory lane. My condolences to her family. Rest In Peace dear Emily.
