Eric Burdette Day

STRATHAM, N.H. -- Eric Burdette Day , 78, of Stratham, N.H., passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 7, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Exeter, N.H. As a big fan of John Wayne and Ward Bond, Eric spent many an hour watching their movies with his little dog, Casey, by his side. Eric worked for GE River Works in Lynn , and retired from there after almost 30 years of service in 1999. Eric is survived by his good friend and roommate, Jonathan E. McCredy, four sisters, Janet Ventulo of Haverhill, Jean and Joan Day of Lynn, and Nancy Davis of Miami, Okla., one brother, George Day of Revere, a son, James Day of Beverly, and a daughter, Jayne Ann Ashurst of Utah, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Service information: A graveside service is set for May 21, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the Maple Lane Cemetery , Emery Lane, Stratham, N.H. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is handling arrangements.
