Gordon Wayne Day

Funeral services for Gordon "Buddy" Wayne Day, 75, will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in Farmerville, Monday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bubba Hoggatt and Bro. Jim Reynolds. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Linville under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 until the time of the service.

Buddy was born on December 4, 1950, in Marion, Louisiana, to Henry and Mary Day and entered his heavenly home on February 26, 2026. He retired from CenturyTel after 25 years of service. Buddy loved attending church and was a faithful prayer warrior.

Buddy is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Theresa Kay Love-Day; parents, Henry Gordon Day and Mary Virginia Carroll-Day; brother, Jimmy Clyde Day.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Cyndi Henderson-Day; sons, Shannon Day and Johnathan Day; stepson, David Bowen (Vanessa); 6 step-grandchildren; 1 great step-grandchild; sisters, Addie Day Albritton and Wanda Day Jackson; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Honoring Buddy as Pallbearers will be Joel Ball, Michael Genung, Jordan Johnson, Andy Jones, Bubba Moore, and Chad Towns. Honorary Pallbearer is Martin Kelly.

Buddy's life was one of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
