Beverly - Lawrence D. "Larry" McGinn, age 70 years, of Beverly and formerly of Lynn, died in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers on Tuesday March 14, 2023. Born in Lynn, he was the beloved son of the late Lawrence G. and Elizabeth (Cotter) McGinn. Larry resided on the North Shore for many years. He worked as an assembler at Morgan Memorial-Goodwill Industries in Salem, MA. Larry was a favorite of his different caregivers over the years - a very mutual feeling. As a special Olympian he was proud of his many medals. He enjoyed singing along with a Kenny Rogers tune or a rendition of America the Beautiful. He was the brother of Peter L. McGinn and his wife Deborah of Lynn, Joan Mooney and her husband David of Needham, Judy Gannon and her late husband Lawrence of Needham, and the late Sheila Hampe. He was also the brother-in-law of Carl Hampe of Ipswich, and leaves many nieces and nephews.
Service Information: A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 AM to 11 AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Donations in Larry's memory can be made to Bridgewell, 10 Dearborn Road, Peabody, MA 01960 Attn: Advancement and Development.
