Swampscott - Michael A. Dandreo, 62 of Swampscott, passed peacefully at home on Sunday August 11th, 2024. Born in Lynn to the late Daniel Dandreo Jr. and Joan (Fountain) Dandreo, Michael was a lifelong resident of Swampscott. He graduated Swampscott High School class of 1980.
Michael was a well-known licensed Journeyman plumber who worked for several local companies before opening his own business, Michael Dandreo Plumbing. He was extremely handy and talented in many aspects of construction. Michael was very dedicated to fitness and working out. He played hockey in high school and was a member of several gyms, most recently the Marblehead YMCA. He loved music and attended countless concerts over the years.
Family was everything to Michael. He was a devoted father to his daughter. He loved being the Fun Uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was passionate in helping anyone in need and was a mentor to many people over the years. His quick wit and one-liners left a lasting impression on everyone.
Michael is survived by his daughter Alyssa Dandreo, former spouse Cheryl (DiGregorio) Dandreo, 5 siblings; Daniel Dandreo III and his wife Julie, William Dandreo and his wife Elizabeth, Richard Dandreo and his wife Kellie, Robert Dandreo and his wife Lauren, Jennifer Planz and her husband Curt, 14 nieces and nephews; Donato Dandreo IV and his wife Natasha, Gina Dandreo, Garrett Dandreo and his wife Mallory, Angela Holliday and her husband Justin, Roger Dandreo and his wife Brittany, Joyce Sanderson and her husband Todd, Christopher Dandreo, Steven Dandreo, Lara Dandreo, Elaina Dandreo, Vincent Planz and his wife Emily, Carla Planz and her husband Eugenio Gonzalez, Joseph Planz, Michael Planz, and honorary nephew Daniel Facci, 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; Donato V, Cameron, Archer, Nora, Billy, Saverio, Valentina, Peter, John, Paul, Leonardo, Isabel, and beloved companion Jean Coffey as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Service Information: Visitation for Michael will be held on Sunday August 18, 2024 from 4-8PM at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME 67 Ocean St. (Rt1A) Lynn. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 19 at 9AM at the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10AM at Holy Family Church Lynn, with burial at Swampscott Cemetery.
