Peabody - Michael J. Stepchin 67, died Friday, November 5, 2021 at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Frank and Loretta (Przypek) Stepchin. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1972.

Mike had been employed for nine years as a driver and monitor for NRT Bus Company in Lynn and prior to that he had worked for many years at GTE Sylvania in Danvers.

Mike touched the hearts of many people. He was often described as "one in a million" and will be missed terribly and remembered with much love.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Stepchin and his wife, Catharine of Melrose, two sisters, Linda Walsh of Sanford, ME and her husband, William and Lorraine Stepchin of Sanford, ME, two nieces, Elizabeth (Stepchin) Bailey and her husband, Cory of Sanford, ME and Jennifer Walsh of Haverhill, MA, a nephew, Ryan Walsh of Plymouth, NH, a great nephew, John Murrey IV of Haverhill, MA, his aunt, Helen Brush of Scottsdale, AZ and several cousins.

Service Information: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
