Paul DeLuca Obituary

Paul A. DeLuca, 49
1975 - 2024
Lynn - Paul A. DeLuca, age 49, of Lynn, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Kaplan House surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted son, caregiver, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. Fiercely loving and determined to care for others, especially his family, Paul lived with an open heart, always finding ways to make people laugh and feel at ease. He was a brilliant and beautiful soul who fought for the underdogs in this world.
In high school, Paul was a talented athlete, excelling as both a baseball and football player. His love for sports reflected his competitive spirit and teamwork, traits he carried throughout his life. Paul was also passionate about masonry, motorcycles, and history. Whether he was perfecting a stone wall, riding his motorcycle on a beautiful day, or discussing history and politics, Paul poured his heart into everything he did. His work for over the last three years with the Catholic Cemetery Association, alongside his dedicated coworkers, was a testament to his work ethic and pride in creating lasting beauty.
He is survived by his loving parents, Anthony "Skip" and Mary "Mae" (Wentzell) DeLuca, his sister, Jodi (DeLuca) Blyler, his brother-in-law, Jeremy Ryerson, his nieces, Abby, Lilli, and Sydney Blyler, his aunt and uncle, Judy and Tom DesFosses, and his aunt and uncle, Robert and Angie DeLuca. Paul will also be deeply missed by many other relatives, friends, and coworkers.
Service Information: A Visitation will be held for Paul on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory can be made to Harwood Houses Sober Living Community. Checks should be made payable to SHOMA LLC and mailed to The Jacobson Family, 7 Brown Road, Swampscott, MA 01907.
