Robert J. Fecteau

LYNN -- Robert J. Fecteau, age 77, of Lynn, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.  Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Phillip and Jessie (Groves) Fecteau. Bob graduated from Lynn Technical School and was employed by GE in Lynn as a tool and die maker until his retirement after 39 years. Bob loved family cookouts, fishing, going to Plum Island and other warm places, and he always enjoyed the company of good friends and strangers alike. He was a regular at the Lido and, long before that, Franks Seagrill  in Lynn. Bob was the brother of  Richard Fecteau of Lynn, Bertram Fecteau of Gorham, Maine, and the late Phillip Fecteau, formerly of  Peabody. He leaves three stepdaughters, Doreen Donovan and her husband Paul of Saugus, Diane DeLauri and her husband David of Haverhill, and Linda DeLauri of Medford; four grandsons, Michael DeLauri of Lynn, David DeLauri of Haverhill, Alexander Donovan of Salem and Kevin Donovan of Saugus; and two great-grandsons, Max DeLauri of Lynn and Noah DeLauri of Danvers. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob was the loving companion of the late Donna J. DeLauri, with whom he had shared 48 years. Service information: A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 10, 4-5:30 p.m. at the GOODRICH Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn. Private interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lynn to which Bob was a longtime annual donor.
