Lynnfield - It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Anthony Noto at the age of 52. He passed peacefully, having faced cancer as he did every challenge in life: with the utmost strength and determination. Even on the hardest days of his battle, Rob's courage and positivity were steadfast, carrying him through to his final moments, which were spent surrounded by his family.
An adoring father, cherished son, and beloved twin, brother, uncle, and friend, Rob's greatest source of pride was the strength and depth of his relationships with his loved ones. Often, Rob would reveal an insight that made it clear he knew you better than you knew yourself. He thought of others first and was unwaveringly kind, generous, and thoughtful. When he said he loved you, you could always feel that he meant it truly and entirely. Without fail, Rob was someone you could count on- someone we all relied on. Even on his worst days, he found a way to make life brighter and better for those around him.
Rob was quick-witted in a way that gave him sharp perception, sage advice, and fueled a humor so natural that you found yourself holding back laughter, just so you wouldn't miss his next joke. Life without him will be different- quieter and harder in ways we are quickly coming to understand, but we will hold onto the lessons he left us: love fully, show up for the people who matter, and always keep family close.
Rob graduated from Lynnfield High School in 1991. From early teenage years, Rob worked at his family business, Sonny Noto's Restaurant (est. 1952). Over the course of his life, he also worked in land development and as a project manager on other entrepreneurial pursuits.
Rob's innate business sense was remarkable, but even more admirable was his devotion to his children. His son, Robert Jr. ("Robbie") was a constant source of pride, while his daughter, Evelyn ("Evie"), was decidedly the apple of his eye. Fatherhood was his greatest joy, and Rob will be especially missed by his children.
He is predeceased by maternal grandparents Antonio and Evelyn (Ciampa) DeRosa and paternal grandparents Salvatore and Anna (Minchella) Noto, and survived by his parents, Sonny and Evelyn Noto; his siblings, Gina Marie (Noto) Giannasca and Kenneth Noto; his twin brother, Richard Noto, and Rich's wife, Christina Noto; his two children, Robert Anthony Noto, Jr. and Evelyn Noto; his former wife and forever friend, Gina Giuffrida; and his nieces and nephews: Matthew, Lily, and Ava Giannasca; Salvi and Amelia Noto; and Richie and Alaina Noto.
Service Information: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St Peabody, MA 01960 on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. His funeral will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, before his burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
