William Vousboukis Obituary

William L. Vousboukis, 67

Kingston, NH - William L. Vousboukis, age 67 of Kingston, NH, formerly of Swampscott and Lynn, died peacefully at his home on Saturday November 13, 2021 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Elaine (Howard) Vousboukis, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Peter and Rita (Moran) Vousboukis. He grew up on the north shore and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1973. After he married in 1976 he lived in Lynn for 20 years before he moved back to Swampscott. He had recently relocated to New Hampshire.

Bill worked as an Advanced Aircraft Engine Mechanic at the GE Riverworks plant for 38 years, until his retirement in 2011. He then worked part time for the Town of Swampscott at town hall and the public library.

He coached for East Lynn and Swampscott Little Leagues and Pop Warners, and served as the President of East Lynn Pop Warner during the 1993 season. He enjoyed spending time near the ocean, fishing and walking along the beach. He loved gardening, cooking, dining out, scratching tickets and playing his numbers. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He could often be found napping in front of the television amidst the chaos of his huge family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 7 children; Billy Vousboukis and his fiancé Rachael of West Newbury, Mark Vousboukis and his wife Anya of N. Reading, Paul Vousboukis and his fiancé Daniel of Nashua NH, Rachel Colclough and her husband Howie of Lynn, Bonnie Mannila and her husband Eric of Dudley, Nikki Vousboukis of Swampscott, and Angela Vousboukis and her boyfriend Steven of Peabody, 2 brothers; John Vousboukis and his wife Kathy of Rochester, NH, Daniel Vousboukis and his wife Muriel of Swampscott, 2 sisters; Lisa Sandler and her husband Mark of Lynn, and Mary Griffin of Wareham, 12 grandchildren; Jeremy Vousboukis, Amanda Fredrick and her husband Warren, Stephanie and Alyssa Colclough, Tommy Pohlmeyer, Tyler Dunlop, Miles, Maisy and Maddox Mannila, Vivian Vousboukis, Riley and Aurora Vousboukis, 1 great grandson; Wesley Fredrick and several nieces and nephews. I was sad to see Mr. and Mrs. Mr. Vousboukis move out of Swampscott a few months ago. It was always nice to see them in the neighborhood. Of course, when I was told of his passing by his dental team, his smile and sincere kindness was my first thought. He will be missed by all who knew him! All of those photos are wonderful!!!
