Barbara McCune Obituary

October 11, 1926 - March 21, 2023 Barbara Elton McCune passed away on March 21, 2023 at Valencia Terrace in Corona, California. She lived a very full 96 years, serving in community organizations like the Easter Seal Board and the Crippled Children's Board, following her passions for painting, travel, bridge, and golf, and developing loving relationships with her family and friends. Her parents, Hubert and Purdie Rice, had three daughters and Barbara was the youngest. She remained very close with her sisters, Betty and Joann, throughout her life. Barbara married twice in her 96 years, first to Hugh McDaniel, then to Robert McCune. Both husbands were dairymen, and Barbara was likewise immersed in the California dairy industry for 70 years. Her pride in and support for both her husbands and for the dairy business as a whole was an inspiration. Most of all, Barbara will be remembered for her kindness and love of family. Though departed from this life, we love her still and will treasure memories of her.

I assume this is the former wife of the gentleman who founded McDaniel Dairy in San Bernardino. I met her several times, as the family lived on the street behind my childhood home. I also went to school with her daughter Debbie. I am sorry for the family's loss of such a wonderful woman.

I´ll love and cherish her always. She was everything a grandmother should be. Every moment with her was special.

She was a wonderful Aunt who loved her family more than anything. She will be missed.
