Edward Oerly Obituary

Edward L. Oerly, Jr. passed away on March 2, 2005 at San Antonio Hospital, Upland. He was born in Missou ri on September 25, 1933, moved to Big Bear in 1938, and resided in Alta Loma for the past 39 years. Ed graduated from Big Bear High School and attained his BA degree from Cal State L.A.. He served his country for 3 years in the Army. He retired from General Dynamics/Hughes/Raytheon in 1996 after 33 years. He actively supported his children in their various activities, volunteering his time whenever and however needed. He is survived by his wife Sandie; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Jason Sgr ignoli of Alta Loma; sons, Brian Oerly of Burbank and Darren Oerly of Alta Loma; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Luther Goad of Norco CA; brother and sister-in -law, Ray and Sharon Oerly of Big Bear CA, and the very special love of his life, his granddaughter Chiara Sgrignoli of Alta Loma. Family and friends will celebrate his life during a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11th at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to th e Humane Society of America in honor of his love of animals.
