Frances Wilborn Obituary

Frances Mae Wilborn
Born on May 29, 1934 in Walpole, MA to Avard H. and Ruby (Ring) Gates. Frances had a sister Audrey Hill and brothers Earle and Allan Gates (Donna).
In April 1951 she moved to CA with her sister and settled in Pomona, CA. Three weeks later she met Don Wilborn and they were married August 29, 1952. It was love at first sight. A wonderful marriage for 65 years.
They were blessed with 3 sons, Donald F. Jr (Susan), Steven Wayne and Jon Darrin Wilborn (Teresa). They had 4 grandchildren, Donald F. Wilborn Jr. (Serene), Brandy Wilborn, Michelle Reddell and Jon Wilborn Jr., and 3 great grandchildren, Wolfgang F. Wilborn, Haley Rae Wilborn, and Margie Ann Cora.
They built a home on the Colorado River in Parker, AZ (Frances loved the sun and water skiing), and she also enjoyed Bunco, Las Vegas, casinos and Mt. Baldy Outboard Boat Club. She also loved her white cats Harley and Suzi. She was a great housewife, mother and wife who took care of all the rentals, taxes, etc.
She passed peacefully on March 15, 2018 with her husband, son and brother by her bed. Many friends and relatives visited her during her prolonged stay in Ramona Nursing and Rehabilitation, City of Hope Hospital, and Citrus Valley Hospice.
Service Wednesday, March 21 at Todds Memorial Chapel, Pomona at 12:00 PM.

To Don and all the family, we are sorry to not be with you now. From meeting Frances and Don with my brother at Lynn and Jeff's wedding you have been special.
Loved Frances' stories of her luck in the casinos and the Oscar parties.
We were lucky enough to be their guests at their home "on the river" where we learned what party animals they were.
Donald we will keep in touch. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
We will call again in a week or so when things may be quieter.
We will be thinking of you at noon tomorrow(3PM here) and send a blessing to heaven.
Much love, Priscilla and Ross
