John Reinschmidt Obituary

John Herbert Reinschmidt received his heavenly crown on October 18th at the age of 88.

He leaves his wife, Gloria; three children, Karen Leubner, Gary and Richard; seven grandchildren, Katryn Mantz, Joshua Leubner, John, Andy, Ashtin Padilla, Amy, and Alison; and six great grandchildren, Becky, Joe, and Chris Mantz, and Morgan, Mason, and Maddox Padilla.

He was a kind and generous man and is greatly missed by his family and his many friends. John was born in Crookston Minnesota and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He and his wife Gloria were married almost 69 years and thank God for their years together. They moved to Fontana in 1948. He was a brick mason at Kaiser Steel for 32 years, attended First Lutheran Church, and was active in the Fontana Junior Chamber of Commerce, including serving as chairman of the Fontana Days Parade and Miss Fontana contest. He also worked in the Mental Health Department for San Bernardino County and was president of the Inland Iris Society. The family has been members of Grace Lutheran Church, Rialto, for almost 40 years.

A private burial with military honors took place at Riverside National Cemetery on November 2nd. Memorial Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Rialto on November 28th at 2p.m.
