June Lentz Obituary

June Lentz, 75, of Upland, passed away at home on Nov. 21, 2003. She was born June 10, 1928, in Talpa, Texas, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. She lived in Chino and Upland for 60 years. In 1944, she married the love of her life, John Lentz, and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. In her younger years, June had been a matron for the Upland Police Department and a teacher's aide at Baldy View Elementary School in Upland. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene. June was very friendly and giving and would strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She was well-known in her neighborhood for her rose garden. June was a blessing to so many lives. She is preceded in death by her husband, John, and her son, Steven. She is survived by a brother, Gene Richardson of Bakersfield; a daughter, Kathleen Paulsen of Ransomville, New York; and two sons, Kenneth Lentz and David Lentz, both residents of Upland. Mrs. Lentz has been blessed with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held today, Nov. 25 at Riverside National Cemetery, Shelter #5, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mother back in August, so I know how you are feeling. I saw June a few months back and she seemed very strong still. I am an old friend of Dave's and when I saw the 'For Sale' outside the house I feared the worse.
