Richard Teeling Obituary

Richard Teeling LYTLE CREEK Richard George Teeling, 74, of Lytle Creek died Sept. 5, 2002, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Fontana. He was born June 13, 1928, in Passaic, N.J., and was a resident of Claremont for 20 years. He was a social worker for 30 years with San Bernardino County's Adult Protective Services. He graduated cum laude from Farleigh Dickinson and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Little League and House of Ruth. Richard is survived by his daughter, Linda Bestard (William) of Claremont; four sons, Richard Teeling (Pen ney) of Lytle Creek, Brian Teeling (Cherie) of Fontana, Jeff Teeling (Sharron) of Lytle Creek and Brett Teeling (Bella-Lisa) of Berkeley; two sisters, Muriel Farritor (Charles) of Claremont and Jocelyn Lubin (Robert) of Delray Beach, Fla.; four granddaughters, Erin Bestard of Claremont, Merry Bestard of Claremont, Amber Teal (Steven) of West Covina and Dianna Threadgill (Rich) of Berea, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Teal of West Covina; and two great-grandsons, Seth Teal of West Covina and Devon Threa dgill of Berea, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at Todd Memorial Chapel, Claremont. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern California Chapter, Attention: Memorial and Living Tributes, 2440 S Sepulveda Blvd., Suite 115, Los Angeles, 90064 or by calling (310) 479-4456. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Dick and Bev were very special people who cared for others in a very caring and kind way. I knew Dick and Bev from their work at the Mummers Theatre in Fontana and through their employment with San Bernardino County. Dick and Bev were loved and they will be greatly missed.
